Mindy has more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families across education and mental health settings. She provides counseling in Jamestown and through telehealth across North Dakota, working with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral and emotional concerns, parenting challenges, grief, and life transitions.
Mindy has specialized training in Brainspotting Phases 1 and 2, a brain-body based approach that supports the processing of trauma and emotional distress. Her additional training includes DC:0–5™ for infant and early childhood mental health, and she is completing advanced training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). She has also completed specialized perinatal mental health coursework through the Seleni Institute, including training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and perinatal grief and loss.
Mindy holds master’s degrees in School Counseling and Special Education and has completed additional graduate coursework in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She brings a warm, client-centered and trauma-informed approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual strengths, needs, and goals.
